Indiana University

Indiana University, International Networking at Indiana University, Internet2 and their Indian partners ERnet, NKN and CDAC with funding from the National Science Foundation and the Indo-US Science & Technology Forum will sponsor a continuation of the US-Indian Network Enabled Research Collaboration Workshop  in Washington, DC on March 22-23, 2012.

The second, much smaller workshop will concentrate on three issues;

1. What are the direct results and follow-up from the Delhi workshop in 2010? How have the problems and opportunities regarding network enabled research collaboration presented in Delhi been addressed (or, if not addressed, why not)? Results from these discussions will feed into the workshop final report.
2. Since Delhi, what new collaboration opportunities (and problems) have presented themselves and how should they be addressed? Again, results from these discussions will feed into the workshop final report.
3. If this network based research collaboration dialogue has value, how can we proceed forward in a sustainable manner?

We expect to invite a small number of scientists and administrators from India and the US (30 total).

The event will be held at the Westin on Glebe Road, near the NSF. We hope to get significant NSF involvement and also DoS attendance and involvement. For more information, please contact Jim Williams, william [at] indiana [dot] edu.
